Winner of the Producers Guild Award 2017 for Outstanding Sports Programme. I worked on episode three in the series, ‘Bayou Classic’ a film about the historic clash between two of the top Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HSBUs) Louisiana rivals Southern University and Grambling State. Every year on Thanksgiving this derby is hosted in the famous New Orleans Superdome. But it's not the game where the real action lies, it's the larger than life battle of the bands.
In 2016 I spent six months working for Vice out of their LA office. I was able to work on a number of different Vice projects including several shows for their newly launched channel Viceland. These included the underground hip hop scene in Haiti, East LA gang tattoo removals and a preacher on Skid Row running ‘Skid Row karaoke nights’. But my time in Louisiana on Bayou Classic was the most memorable.
